How They Met
Alea & Aliyah met in the summer of 2019, in the loving days of June. One might ask how? I feel inclined to tell you that, like so many new loves now days, they met on a dating website. I think the name of the website was “PERFECTMATCH.com,” or at least it should have been, because a few days later, they met in person and have been inseparable ever since.
The Proposal
Nine months after Alea & Aliyah met, they both knew this love they had found was special enough to hold onto forever. So special, there was not one, but two proposals waiting in the wings. Alea surprised Aliyah with an engaygement ring after setting an intimate and romantic scene at home, complete with all the romantic trappings and their song “Her Heart” by Anthony Hamilton playing in the background. A few months later, and not to be outdone, Aliyah booked a room at their favorite hotel and created a second proposal moment. “I had rose petals, candles, and the words ‘Marry Me’ on the bed. We then had an engagement photo shoot, had dinner together, and spent the night in the hotel.”
The Elopement
Opting for a courthouse ceremony with a few close friends and family members in attendance, Alea & Aliyah tied the not at the Durham County Courthouse on June 3, 2022. After saying “I Do,” the couple geared up for a much larger celebratory weekend with the rest of their loved ones.
On Saturday, the newlyweds got dressed and attended a photo session with MaxRes photography at the North Carolina Museum of Art. At the end of the session, MaxRes and Alea & Aliyah’s “Glam Squad” delivered the stunningly beautiful photographs you see in this article.
Afterward, Mrs. & Mrs. Crump joined their family and friends for an epic celebration to mark the start of their new lives together as Wife & Wifey.
The Couple’s Favorite Moments
